Galgo Fine Papers launched the 9th edition of its financial year calendar at Regania, New Delhi, on 6 April 2018. Featuring photographs by Rohit Chawla, a regular contributor to the Galgo calendar, this year’s theme is ‘Girls are Coming out of the Woods’.
Inspiring by award winning poet Tishani Doshi collection’s of poems with the same title, the calendar is a photographic tribute to Doshi’s beautiful poetry. The pages of the calendar also reminds us of the dangerous times we are living in. In a sense, Rohit Chawla’s images are also a tribute to the challenges of those dangers and they also embrace the fleeting moments of beauty.
This limited edition work also showcases the best in printing.
The calendar is printed on Rendezvous Superwhite 240gsm paper from Samwha Paper, Korea. The frame is made of Samko board pasted with Leathack Black 120gsm, also from the Galgo paper range, and is printed at Lustra.
The launch event saw the print fraternity, buyers, advertising and creative people coming together to celebrate the occasion. The guests also got a chance to browse through the samples of inspiring works done round the year on Galgo’s range of fine papers and various treatments and creativity these papers could withstand.
