To commemorate ten successful years of the Galgo Calendar, Galgo Fine Papers organised ablood donation camp at its premises in Okhla, New Delhi, supported by Okhla Printers and Providers Association (OPPA), on Saturday 27 April 2019.
A huge number of people voluntarily participated at the blood donation drive.
The 10th edition of the Galgo calendar was launched at Essex Farms, New Delhi on 5 April,2019. This was followed by launch events in other metro cities — Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.
Each year, Galgo combines its calendar launch event with a small step towards its corporate social responsibility. Over a decade, Galgo has supported several social activities, including cataract surgeries for the needy, and the Tihar Jail Inmates Rehabilitation Programme,supported by the NGOs Sparsh and Khushi, both of which work for the welfare of the underprivileged and destitute children.
Subodh Jain of Galgo thanked the blood donors for their life-saving gift, and called for an increased awareness for the need to organise such regular blood donation camps to ensure availability of blood for patients in need.
According to the company, all team members of Galgo voluntarily came forward to donateblood. By the end of the day, good number of blood units was collected. All the donors went through medical checkup before and after donating blood. The donors were provided with refreshments and awarded appreciation certificates.
